Savannah

We decided to go to Savannah, GA for a night this weekend to get our mind off things and just relax. This was Sienna's first vacation and she was (almost) perfect on it (there may have been a 4am scream-fest but she eventually went back to sleep!).

We drove down Saturday morning and checked in to the Westin, a beautiful resort hotel on the river across from downtown Savannah. Using the ferry,  we were able to go back and forth between the hotel and downtown which made it easy traveling with a one month old!

First ferry ride!

Despite the on and off rain, we had an awesome lunch at Moon River Brewing Co. (which is supposedly haunted!), and got lots of sightseeing in before having a late night dinner at The Olde Pink House.

Lunch time for Sienna too!

Sunday morning we kicked back at the hotel pool until check out.  Sienna was the cutest thing ever in her little pink bathing suit - even though she slept the entire time under a shaded umbrella.  Maybe next trip we will make it into the pool!

We were planning on heading to Charleston for our anniversary in September,  but are now thinking we'll just do Savannah again.  Between the discounted hotel rate (compliments of Joe's company), the ease of getting around,  and the charm of this old southern city, I think we've found ourselves a repeat vacation spot!
