6 Months Old!
My little girl turned 6 months old this past weekend. Six months! I can't believe how fast the time has gone, and how much she has grown and changed already.
Sienna is SO close to crawling! We are just waiting for the moment she figures it out. Right now, she can turn herself in circles, propped up on her hands. She will also roll around on the floor, trying to get to whatever she has her eye on. She will sit unassisted for a few seconds...until she ultimately topples over trying to grab her foot or toy.
She laughs often. She smiles at strangers. She giggles at our dog. She is just so happy, strong, and beautiful!
Si is also going through a "mommy phase," which melts my heart. Yes, she loves her dad too, but at the end of the day she wants me, and only me. I know this won't always be the case so I'm soaking it up while I can! Bedtime is my favorite part of the day, because we read books until she's tired, then rock together as I do her CPT and she falls asleep on me. While I hate the fact that CPT is a part of our life, I must admit it has made bedtime easy!
She is 17 1/2 pounds and 26 1/2 inches. She is still predominantly breastfed, but we have started to experiment with real food. She's not quite sure what to think about avocado! I do plan on breastfeeding her for as long as possible...but again, that's a post for another day.
I am thankful for every milestone we celebrate and every month that goes by with her in good health. She got the flu vaccine (yes, we vax!) at her wellness check today - so fingers crossed it keeps her healthy this winter!
I've been behind on posts, but promise to get some out this week!

Vaccinations are no fun, but she's tough! |
